What is a property law consultation?
Clear direction for your property matter
Buying, selling, transferring or signing loan documents on a property can feel like running through a maze of fine print. A property law consultation gives you clear, practical direction before you make a commitment. It’s also your opportunity to sit down with a solicitor who understands property transactions inside and out and can give you straightforward advice on your questions that matter most.
You’ll meet online at a time that suits you. Together, with your solicitor, you’ll walk through your situation and highlight what needs your attention before you proceed. By the end of the session, you’ll know exactly where you stand and what to do next

Frequently Asked Questions
Have more questions before booking? Here are some of the most common questions new property law clients ask.
Can you review my contract before I sign?
Yes, and we highly recommend that you get in touch before signing. We’ll review your sale or purchase contract, explain key terms and conditions and, most importantly, flag potential risks before you commit.
Do I need a solicitor before I sign just as a guarantor?
Yes, it’s very important that you understand exactly what you’re agreeing to before signing. Also, lenders usually require that you obtain independent legal advice before signing a guarantor document. We can meet with you online to review the document and provide you with the advice you need so you can execute the document.
Can you handle the entire conveyancing process?
Yes. We are able to help you from the beginning to the end of your property process. It’s difficult to conduct a property matter as a self-represented party, even though it’s possible. Most clients prefer us to simply act for them on the sale, purchase or transfer, confident in the knowledge that we offer a fixed-fee and transparent service every time.
I’m thinking about buying a property interstate. Can you help review those documents?
Yes. We can review contracts for an interstate property purchase and advise you on risks specific to that purchase in most Australian states and territories. If you hail from one that we are unfamiliar with, we can assist you to find someone in the state/territory you require.
Can you help with property transfers between family members?
Absolutely. We’ll prepare or review transfer documentation and ensure stamp duty and legal obligations are met. We can also assist you to update your estate planning documents to reflect the effect of the transfer, if required.
Can you tell me what my next legal step should be?
That’s exactly what our initial consultation is designed for. We’ll assess where you’re up to, identify key legal issues and outline your next practical steps so you can move forward confidently.
